The PuzzleMadness app has the option to login/create an account linked to your account on the puzzlemadness.co.uk website. All primary app functionality is accessible and works unhindered without needing to login/create an account. The information we collect and store depends on whether you have chosen to login/create an account.
It is possible to login/create an account on the app, this account is automatically linked to your account on the PuzzleMadness website (puzzlemadness.co.uk). The same credentials used on this app can also be used login to the PuzzleMadness website (which has a separate Privacy Policy).
We will require a valid email address, username and password to create an account. Your email address is never made public, but your username will visible to other users - primarily in leaderboards and profile pages. We require an email address so that it can be used to recover access to your account in the event that you have forgotten your password.
When logged in to an account on the PuzzleMadness app, any puzzles you finish will be transmitted to the PuzzleMadness website.
Your data is kept as long as you continue to have an account with us in good standing. You are able to delete your account (either from within the app or from the website) at any time. If you violate our terms and conditions, we may delete your account. If your account is deleted by either mechanism, we will delete all data stored against your account within 28 days (as required by legislation).
PuzzleMadness maintains a strict "no-spam" policy. Your e-mail address will not be sold to a third party.
If you use the PuzzleMadness app without an account, we will not collect/use/transmit any Personally Identifiable Information.

Whenever you use the PuzzleMadness app, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
This data is anonymised, i.e. it contains no Personally Identifiable Information, and we can't identify any single user from the information we receive from these crash reports. All log data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
The content rating for the PuzzleMadness app is 3+, this means that a child over the age of 3 can use the app (if they wish) and they will not see content that is inappropriate for their age.
However, there is a minimum age of 13 for creating an account either on the PuzzleMadness App or website. If we are made aware that an individual under the age of 13 has account with us, we will delete the account.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. we will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
