Every puzzle is generated using our in-house software, has a unique solution, and is designed to be solved logically without guessing.

In Star Battle puzzles you start with a mostly empty grid - there may be a small number of stars already inserted, depending on the difficulty.

For easy puzzles, the aim is to insert exactly one star in to every row, column and region such that the stars are not next to each horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

For medium puzzles, you need to insert 2 stars in to every row, column and region.

For hard puzzles, you need to insert 3 stars in to every row, column and region.
